Guess what.

I ordered a new computer from Dell. It'll be here in about a week. Also, it was my birthday yesterday. As Pink Floyd said,
"The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older,
Shorter of breath, and one day closer to death."
   That is all.

Happy belated birthday!

Enjoy your new Dell.  That's what Amy got me for my birthday a couple months ago and I'm loving it.  Except for all the reminders I keep getting to upgrade the built in McAfee virus protection software that comes with it.

Hope the folks at the library won't miss you too much!

Shheeeshh!
Awfully morbid aren't ya?
Obviously should have bought you a couple more drinks yesterday.
Try to remember that when young farts like you start complaining about the proximity of DEATH, you're basically pushing us older farts off the edge of the precipice. THANKS VERY MUCH!!
Smile and don't worry.
Soon you'll have your new toy (computer) to play with and all your worries will be forgotten (until the next crash)

Happy Birthday, Paul, and many happy returns of the day. Just remember it isn't the quantity of life you have, but the quality of your experience. Almost all of us earthbound monkeys die with a wish for another day, week, year.

What took you so long? :)  Personally, I prefer the line from 16 Tons: "Another day older, and deeper in debt."

AHH ... ME TOO  I just got a new DELL ... My computer died in early December ... lost my address list for Christmas cards, and had to make up my family Christmas card on my pokey OLD laptop.

Any way ... I just erase the link to your Cowboy Poetry journal that I had on my journal at http://journals.aol.com/lowis6535/UpperPeninsulaMIandbeyond/
But, I did a search on your screen name & ended up HERE ... Ah, Ha ... this is where you've been!
