Rock and roll ain't noise pollution

My ten year old son, Matthew, wants to make a mixed CD to play in his room or in his CD Walkman. Last night he sat down to make a list of songs he wants on the CD. This is what he has so far.

He didn't like For Those About To Rock (We Salute You). Said it was too repetetive. I can't wait to see what he comes up with next.

That a 10-year-old likes AC/DC reminds me of the gag on the bus in Star Trek IV, when Kirk mentions the "literature" (sarcastic quotes there) of Harold Robbins and Jacqueline Susann.  "Ah," says Spock.  "The giants."  So who is reposible for bringing classic heavy metal to a new generation?

my own 14 year old daughter would have no idea of the existence of any of those songs .. not one

Maggie is a classic rock fan too...she leans towards Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and her personal fave, Harry Nilsson :)

Here's my prediction..... Your son has a future as a rock critic !!  His taste is very similar to what my son's was at that age, and now he is writing online music reviews.         Tina

Cameron's crazy over AC/DC and even Blondie's Heart of Glass. It always makes me smile when I hear him singing along to the tunes I grew up with.

My daughter loftily informed me the other night that George Harrison had been in a band before he made the song "Got my mind set on you."
